Gioca come ospite, account facoltativo
- il nome (scelto o assegnato dal gioco) e la figura (donna o uomo);
- il grado e le scoperte del Taccuino, con la loro data;
- l'impronta della chiave del dispositivo: la chiave resta sul dispositivo, al server ne arriva solo un'impronta (SHA-256) da cui la chiave non si ricava;
- Apri Impostazioni.
- Tocca Cancella account e progressi e conferma.
- bug e feedback, senza più il tuo nome: al massimo un anno;
- segnalazioni: al massimo sei mesi;
- allontanamenti: finché dura l'allontanamento;
- statistiche, solo se le avevi accettate: eventi al massimo un anno, registrazioni delle sessioni al massimo 30 giorni, legati a un'impronta da cui non si risale a te;
Notifiche, solo nell'app
Serve solo a mandarle.
I tuoi diritti

Sangimon is a game for exploring Italian towns, on www.sangimon.com and in the iPhone and Android apps. This page lists everything the game knows about its players: what, why, where it is kept and for how long.
Data controller
The data controller is Dinamo srl, Strada di Casciano 9, 53100 Siena, VAT no. 01324730520, REA SI-138499, PEC dinamosrl@lamiapec.it, which publishes the game. For any question or request: info@sangimon.com.
Play as a guest, optional account
When sign-in is available, you may link a Google or Apple account to recover your character. Better Auth, hosted on our own server at OVH, in Italy, at auth.sangimon.com, stores the provider identifier, email and profile information supplied by the provider, together with sign-in session data. Provider tokens are encrypted in the database. The service uses the IP address in memory only, to limit abusive sign-in attempts: it writes neither the address nor the browser type to the database. Session cookies are necessary for sign-in and are not used for advertising. The game backend stores a pseudonymous account link and your last position in each town without receiving your email. Google or Apple process sign-in under their own privacy policies. The account is there to give you the service you asked for by linking it (performance of a contract).
Linking disables old character links and QR codes. Each device’s game access lasts up to 30 days and is renewed with a valid session; signing out in the game revokes that device’s access. “Delete account and progress” removes the account and character; “Sign out” keeps your progress on the server. Town positions are synced periodically. Device preferences remain.
You don't need to sign up to play. As a guest, the game does not ask for your email, phone number, real name, date of birth or GPS location. There are no ads and no tracking; analytics only if you accept them (see below).
The first time, the game asks the server which town to start in. The server derives an approximate location from the network (city or region, from the IP address), answers with the nearest town in the game and does not keep it, except in the server's technical logs, which delete themselves after a few days. If the network doesn't answer, or no town is close, you start in San Gimignano.
Your character
When you play connected to the town, the server keeps a copy of your character, so it isn't lost and you can pick it up on another device:
- the name (chosen by you or given by the game) and your look (woman or man);
- your rank and your Journal discoveries, with their dates;
- the fingerprint of your device's key: the key stays on your device, and the server only gets a SHA-256 fingerprint the key can't be recovered from;
- when the character was created and when it was last in the game.
This is needed to run the game you asked to use. A guest character can be deleted in Settings → Your character → Delete this character. For a linked account, use Delete account and progress. Guest characters inactive for a year are deleted automatically; linked characters remain until deletion.
Deleting your Sangimon account and data
Sangimon is published by Dinamo srl. To delete your account and data:
- Open Sangimon, in the app or on the website.
- Open Settings.
- Tap Delete account and progress and confirm. Guests tap Your character → Delete this character.
If you no longer have the game or the app, write to info@sangimon.com from the account's email or with your character's name: we delete everything within 30 days.
Deleted straight away: the account with its email, profile and sign-in sessions, and the character with its name and look, rank, discoveries, positions, scores, friendships, remembered chat messages and notification tokens.
Kept for a limited time:
- bug reports and feedback, without your name: up to one year;
- reports about players: up to six months;
- bans: for as long as the ban lasts;
- analytics, only if you accepted them: events up to one year, session recordings up to 30 days, tied to a fingerprint that can't be traced back to you;
- servers' technical logs: a few days.
While you play
- Other players see your character's name, look and rank, which town you are in and that you are playing right now (“Who's around”). The Journal's leaderboard shows your name and how many discoveries you made: you can opt out of it in the settings.
- Where you are on the map and your signs go through the server to the other players, and the server doesn't keep them.
- Chat is on the website only: in the apps you can't write or read other players' messages. Speech bubbles and private messages go through the server without staying there. For the public chat, the server remembers the last 30 messages for up to 24 hours, with the name of who wrote them, to show them to people who join later; a server restart clears them, and moderators can remove them. Offensive words are masked before they reach anyone.
- Voice is only there for players who linked an account and turned it on in the settings: a guest neither talks to nor hears anyone. When it is on (WebRTC), it goes, encrypted between the two devices, through a Cloudflare TURN server: whoever hears you doesn't see your IP address, and you don't see theirs. Only if that server doesn't answer does voice go directly from one device to the other: the two devices then find each other through a Google STUN server and exchange IP addresses. Nobody records it. The microphone is on only while you hold the voice button, and the app asks for permission only once.
Notifications, app only
Notifications are only sent if you ask for them, and you can turn each one off in the game's settings.
- Reminders (when you haven't played for a few days) are scheduled by the phone itself: they don't go through any server.
- For the town's notifications (people in the square, game news) the server keeps the address Apple or Google give the app to deliver them (the token), with the language, the notifications you chose and the character it belongs to. It is only used to send them. The token is deleted when you turn notifications off, when you delete your character, or on its own after the app hasn't been opened for six months. Notifications go through Apple (Apple Push Notification service) and Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging), as for any app.
Reports and blocks
If someone bothers you, you can block them: the block stays on your device only. You can also report them: the server then keeps the reason, both players' names and characters, the map, the time, and the reported player's last sentences as the reporter read them. Only the game's moderators read reports, to decide whether to send someone away. Reports are deleted after six months. A player who is sent away stays on record, with the reason, for as long as that lasts. This keeps the game safe for everyone (legitimate interest).
Bugs and feedback
From Settings › Help and privacy you can report a bug or send feedback. The server keeps what you write, your character and its name, the time and some technical data: game version, website or app, your browser or phone (as the browser reports it), the language and whether light mode is on. For a bug, also the city, map and tile where you are. We list this on the form before you send. To limit how many are sent, the server also keeps a fingerprint (SHA-256) of your device key and of your IP address, never the address itself, and deletes it after a day or two. Only the people who run the game read them, to fix and improve the game (legitimate interest); they are deleted after one year, and if you delete your character the text stays without your name.
On your device
The game keeps in the device's storage (localStorage) your key, name, discoveries, where you were in each town, your preferences (sound, language, zoom), the players you blocked and the choices you made; with analytics accepted, also what PostHog keeps (see below). Deleting your character removes all of it except your preferences; uninstalling the app, or clearing the site's data, removes everything.
Analytics, only if you accept
On the website and in the apps, and only if you accept, PostHog (with servers in the European Union) collects data on how the game is used so we can improve it: the buttons you tap, what you do in the game (the starting town chosen from your approximate location, towns opened, discoveries, the Journal, time played), errors, loading times, the kind of device, the approximate country and city derived from the IP address (which is then not kept), and a recording of the session. The recording never shows the fields you type in, the chat, other players' names, or the character panel with your key and link. You are recognised by a fingerprint of your character's key, which leads back neither to the key nor to your name. No email, real name, GPS location or advertising identifiers are collected, and the data is not used for ads or sold. To remember your choice and recognise the session, PostHog keeps a cookie and a few entries in the device's storage. Events are kept for up to one year and session recordings for up to 30 days. Nothing is sent before you agree; you can change your choice at any time in the settings, and deleting your character starts the analytics over.
Who processes data for the game
- Cloudflare, Inc.: the town server (Workers and Durable Objects), the voice TURN server, and that server's technical logs, kept for a few days.
- Vercel Inc.: the website. Like any website, it sees the IP address of whoever opens it.
- OVH S.r.l., in Italy: the server that runs the account service.
- Google LLC: sign-in with Google for those who choose it, notifications on Android (Firebase Cloud Messaging), and the voice STUN server when the TURN server doesn't answer.
- PostHog Inc., with servers in the European Union: analytics and session recordings, only with your consent.
- Apple Inc.: notifications on iPhone (Apple Push Notification service) and sign-in with Apple, when available. Deleting your account from the app also revokes sign-in with Apple.
These providers may process data outside the European Union, with the safeguards required by the GDPR (standard contractual clauses and the Data Privacy Framework). Data is never sold or used for advertising.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to get a copy to take elsewhere, to restrict its processing or to object to it, by writing to info@sangimon.com. You can withdraw your consent to analytics at any time, in the settings. You can also change your name and delete your character yourself, from the game. You may complain to your data protection authority; in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
Young players
In the game you talk to people you don't know. For this reason the game is for people aged 16 and over, and the stores list it that way. The first time you write, speak, choose your name or sign in with an account you state that you are. The game does not ask for your date of birth. If a parent finds out that a younger child is playing, write to us and we will delete the character. The rules of the square forbid asking for or giving out personal details.
Changes
If this page changes, so does the date at the top.
数据控制者是 Dinamo srl, Strada di Casciano 9, 53100 Siena, 增值税号 01324730520, REA SI-138499, PEC dinamosrl@lamiapec.it,本游戏的发行方。
- 名字(你选择的,或由游戏分配的)和外形(女性或男性);
- 等级和手账中的发现,以及发现的日期;
- 设备的密钥指纹:密钥留在设备上,服务器只收到它的指纹(SHA-256),无法由指纹推算出密钥;
- 问题和反馈(不再带有你的名称):最长一年;
- 举报记录:最长六个月;
- 封禁记录:直到封禁结束;
- 统计数据(仅在你同意时):事件最长一年,会话录像最长 30 天,只关联无法追溯到你的指纹;
与所有应用一样,通知经由 Apple(Apple Push Notification service)和 Google(Firebase Cloud Messaging)传递。
- PostHog Inc.,
